I have and 06 reg cab fx4 with a short bed. 5.4 triton. I want to get an exhaust kit but i cant find anyone who makes one for a reg cab. Id like to get the roush offroad dual rear exit but they dont make it for my truck. i am wondering if anyone knows of any kits or if i could make roush kit fit. Id also like to get a volant intake anyon out there have any pros/cons?

You could just build your own kit... mufflers of your choice, and have a good shop bend the pipe. I have the volant intake, its the best in my opinion... It doesnt suck hot engine air.

 

I agree...you can build your own kit or have a muffler shop cut and weld a Roush system to fit your truck.

 

yep, just have an exhaust shop fabricate your pipes & choose your own mufflers.

 

ok thanks for the input. im prolly gonna go with the volant intake. i had a custom flowmaster put on my 05 scab which i did like but iam always lookin to try somethin diffrent. i have a new question on, I was told a mandrel bend is better then a crush bend done by the last custom exhaust i had thus the reason i was gonna go with the roush kit. Any truth to that?

Could you just cut some pipe out under the cab to make it shorter? Call Roush, they could probably tell you if its possible.

Mandrel bends flow better than others.
