Nassty, I notice you have a Roush Edition Truck. Did it come with the CAI? I was wondering if you noticed any performance gains with it. Can you tell it is there?

Currently I have a 5.4 with straight pipes and a Edge tuner. I've been looking for something to help it breathe a little easier.

The reason I like the Roush so much is that my local dealer sells Roush vehicles and parts and honors them under warranty.

I added the CAI,my truck only came with a Roush appearance pkg. so it was a bone stock 5.4L before I installed the CAI.
I can feel a difference in performance over stock (on the butt dyno).You may not feel as much difference on your truck where it is already modded. I plan on adding an edge and exhaust sometime as well.

 

Yeah, I was kinda figuring that the performance wouldent be as noticable since I already have other more noticable mods. But if it was noticeable on your truck then it should be somewhat noticeable on mine.

What all does the Champions package include?

Not much just Roush 20" chrome wheels,Roush grill,Roush exhaust tip,step bars and Champions Edition emblems(which I removed).

I just purchased a Roush CAI off ebay, should be delivered by this friday in time for a weekend install. Did your install go smooth? I'm assuming it should be pretty straightforward. Thanks.

 

Yes it was pretty simple.The only problem I had was, my kit was missing 2 screws so I had to make a trip to the hardware store during the install.
