I have a modified set on a 4.6l. Talk about a pain the a--. Since I modified mine I have found that all you have to do to make the passenger side fit is order another flange and tig it to the other one.You will have to cut and splice a 5.4 egr tube to the 4.6 tube also. I think they sound MEAN!!. especially when youare on it.

My long tubes are higher than the bottom of the frame... Well believe it, I gained NO power or torque anywhere with shorties... I gained 30hp and 35ftlbs torque OVER the gibson shorties I had. Im running spintech mufflers.

built54, that sounds awesome. Thanks for the clip. I will save for those long tube headers instead of buying shorties right now.
This probably belongs in its own thread but I'm sure you or someone reading this thread has the answer:
For the cat back, I am still undecided and would like to order something this week. The Flowmaster SI/DO kit for my 2003 is #17222 and includes their 50 series SUV muffler. To me, I figure this will be too restrictive (and quiet) but on the other hand their R&D department had every muffler available to them to come up with the best kit. So does this sound fairly loud or is Flowmaster just making sure there is minimal interior resonance? I was thinking that a Super 40 would be a better choice.
Same question regarding Dynomax. The #17321 kit comes with their Super Turbo muffler. Wouldn't the Ultra Flo SS be better flowing and a little louder?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can comment with experience on these two kits.
