headers?

headers?

lookin into a set of headers! im wanting them more for mpg rather than hp. any suggestions? long or shorty style?

Long tubes are the only way to go. Shorties gain you no power or mpg... I have the stainless steel dynatech long tubes and I gained 30 hp and 35ftlbs, not sure on mpg though.

Was that rwhp? I got a set on the way from Troyer's. Is there anything special I'm going to need for the install? I hate getting in the middle of a job and having to stop to go get parts or tools!

No, I had my shorties off and the long tubes on in 2 hours. I plugged my egr, so i didnt have any problems there. It sure does run better!

Did plugging the egr keep the service engine light from comming on??

No lol it actually made it come on. I Just reset the code every now and then, no big deal. still passes emissions and runs the same.

Put the first 2 right after the header collectors, then the other 2 in the factory location.
