not quite sure, but headers could probably get you around 5 - 10 extra horses and around 10lbs of torque, just an estimate.

You have a 2003 which is better, but remember this. YOu break (or a shop that is dumb enough to take the job) a stud, and that head is coming off, and thats a huge job over two days. Its going to be loud, very loud if your exhuast is modified as well. I run factory manifold with a watercooled blower. They flow quite well.

ANd I am not trying to say don't do it, I even looked into them. But for $700 or more, its not worth the money

I was talking about long tubes. Shorties aren't worth the investment

so I need to make a decision soon. how are these edelbrock shorties for quality? my manifolds are completely rusted, and the gasket needs to be changed.

think I'm still willing to take a chance on not gaining power cuase I can't pay 700. and forget the dynatechs for 1100.

A back from the dead thread....

I ended up ordering OBX longtubes instead of the Edelbrocks, but I was tempted by them right to the end. Haven't seen them in person, but Edelbrock quality in general is quite high, I wouldn't hesitate to buy an Edelbrock product.

30 for long tubes - That's max. It depends on the rest of your set up. I gained 6 seconds 0-80 with mine. Got it on Video.

Yeah, i had several mods, but my dynatechs gained me 30hp/35ftlbs... shorties are a waste of money, period.

I have a set of Edelbrock ceramic shorties sitting in the dining room I never put on. Decided I'm going to go with long tubes from dynatech when I get my income tax return. I have 2 hi flow magnaflow cats also which won't do me any good since the dynatechs come with hi flow cats.

That link is for the Ti Tech not ceramic and it says $399.

EDIT... Actually I went back and looked at Summits website and the description before you click on them says Ti Tech Ceramic Coated. I'm pretty sure thats wrong. Price still says $399 though. The Ceramic ones are 459.95 edelbrock ceramic shorties

I have the pacesetter lt's and gained 27/32 wheel so the longtubes are definetely worth the money and its even better with a tuner, i use the predator

if you are just looking to replace manifolds, i can sell you mine. they are off an 03 5.4 w/ only 30k miles on them. the reason i took them off was to put on the dynatech longtubes. shorties aren't worth the investment, they net no power, and will probably rust from the inside out. send me a pm if you are interested.
