Exhaust fumes from FlowMaster

Is it normal to have a "burn off" period for a new exhaust? I just installed a FlowMaster and Im getting a strong odor of exhaust burn off... Im just curious if its normal or if theres a problem? I didnt have any fumes from the original exhaust and I got the truck with 2 miles on it.

Could be the residue(oil/fluid) from the bending or cleaning process.
I am considering a Magna-flow cat-back dual exhaust system.

The smell is normal. It will go away after a few weeks.

I put a Magnaflow cat back kit on my 06 screw FX4 and had the same smell. It went away in about a week.
