The 40 series will sound awesome on it, it'll probably be just as loud as my 4.6. And your buddy doesn't have that pop pop pop pop YET. Give it a few months and the glass pack will blow out.

I'm sure his Glass packs are already worn out. His truck was ran hard before he got it. He has had it about a year and his ehaust wasn't new when he got it so I'm sure it is already worn out. Mine has a vrooom sound to it and I like it sometimes but it just sounds like a little supped up neon sometimes and If I get this truck I want a deep loud roar. My uncle has duals on it but they are quiter than mine.

I'm not smoking anything...it's my personal opinion and many on here's that the 5.4 is a quieter motor than the 4.6.

In my opinion, you can't beat the sound of a Flowmaster. I am afraid with the 6 though, you are going to get the sound that the import tuner cars have. They will sound awesome at lower RPMs, but when the RPMs get up, that deep sound goes and that import sound comes out. I have heard a few that doesn't have that, but they usually modify the exhaust all the way, front to back. You won't get a V8 sound out of it if that is what you are after.
