Get rid of the cats and get an original 40 series then...or run no muffler at all

I wish i could delete the cats and the muffler but i have to stay atleast semi legal. I still have to go threw inspection, and also not totally void the warranty on my truck. Zairman do you know what kind of extension pipe he is using i would guess it looks like a mini y pipe.

Have just a single 40 now replacing factory and I love it. Just trying to do true duals with two 40's now...hopefully love it twice as much.

All I did was put another Y-pipe in place of the SI/DO muffler. So now it is NO muffler. It is LOUD!! My parents hear me coming home before I am even on the street!

FordWitFlows... Can you post a picture of your exhaust system? Or rather a series of pictures showing the CATs and plumbling out the rear. I would like to see your setup. Thanks. BoB

Ford with flows did u what brand y pipe are you runnin. I want to do the same thing but my muffler in let is not in the middle of the muffler it is on the side more. so if i put a y pipe on there and cut it the out let pipes wont line up with my exhaust pipes from the kit. Is yours like that. if so how did u fix it or how did u make it work. Also what brand y pipe did u use.

i put a 40 series on with single in dual out. it wasnt loud enough for me, so i sold the muffler back for half and put in true duals with no muffler. its the loudest truck ive heard. i have to coast down my street or my neighbors complain. how does anybody hate a really loud truck?
