06 f150 Harley Davidson edt.

Is anyone familiar with the exhaust on the f150 HD edition, I know it is a different mufler than a stock f150 but is the Cat in the same position as a regular f150? and will a flowmaster exhaust i buy off the Web fit the HD edition? any thoughts?

Ya, my dad has one. It looks to be the same as a regular truck until the rear of the muffler where it is two tailpipes. I would call or ask whoever your buying the new system from to be sure. Someone said the factory one is a Flowmaster, to me it looks stock with an extra pipe. I like the sound but a Flowmaster will be louder. It may also have an extra hanger in the rear so be aware.

I've not seen any manufacturer of exhaust "kits" release anything yet for the '06 HD...Magnaflow is supposed to have one coming in a couple/few months. However...congrats on getting your hands on a GREAT looking truck...a dear friend of mine has one and had it over at the shop recently...ENJOY!

BTW...did you get the all-wheel drive?

The muffler is NOT a Flowmaster (or made by Flowmaster)...you are correct

You are also 100% correct about different hanger positions on this truck.

Yes the truck is AWD and it will pay off in the winter big time, im thinking about buying a flow master american thunder and having my friend weld it on. By the way Your shop truck is beautiful. When i was at the dealer i test drove the f-250 powerstroke harley davidson and it was amazing, i love the sound and feel of the turbo-charger.

Not bad sound for stock, but aftermarkets are always better. Great purchase!!! I can't believe 15 + mpg is what he can get, AWD too. HD symbols everywhere, even the defrost dots on the windshield. That SOB gets attention, my truck is louder though. He's getting an 07 HD now so we'll see what that got.
