Dual exhaust question?

Hey, I'm new to the sight, so I hope I'm not asking a common question.
I have an '03 F150 w/ a 5.4 and I'm wanting to know if anybody know's if there is a difference in HP/TQ gains between true dual exhaust (2 1/2 pipes) and 3" single exhaust. Thanks for your help and by the way great website.

hrmmmm. Good question. I don't know that you are gonna see just huge gains with either really. Dual Exhaust compliments other mods, bigger throttle body, air intake, chips etc. Exhaust mods are mainly done for sound. Dual exhause is gonna sound way better.

Now some people without any other mods have complained about loosing some low end torque with dual exhaust but I didn't. I have it on mine and I might have picked up a little get up and go from a dead stop but nothing that noticable. I did it so my truck would sound like a truck.

I know it isn't much help and other will chime in. I would say get the duals just sounds better.

Hey, thanks quackaddict for the insight. I've always have used the 3" single exhaust on my old trucks, but I'm thinking about going with 2 1/2" duals with a DIDO muffler.
