Need a new exhaust for 5.0

I have an 89 f150 with the 5.0 engine. Currently I am running the exhaust with no cats running into dual 12in glasspacks. I want something louder. It seems as though the truck is getting quieter. I had a 95 dodge ram with a high flow cat and straight pipes and that truck roared. Should I cut out the glasspacks and run straight pipes all the way back or use some type of flowmaster or other high flow mufflers to get a better sound?

thanks

I have found out that the glasspacks on the truck are like 8 years old. If I put on some new ones I should get back the loudness. Is there anything smaller than a 12in glasspack?

Dynomax bullet mufflers are pretty loud.

If you get a 12 inch glasspack and put it on backwards it will ROAR!

Will it hurt the trucks performance having a glasspack on backwards? Also, how does being backwards make a difference in sound?

Thanks.

If anything it should give better performance...the fins on the inside catch less air when they're backwards making better airflow which in return produces a louder sound!
