I say flowmaster 40 series will be your best option.

The flowmaster 40 series is a very loud muffler, this kid around the corner from me has the 40 series muffler single in dual out(3" in and 2.5"out) with the 4.2 and it sound a lot better then most other mufflers(my personal opinion). He said he doesn't know much about the performance of the muffler but it is definetly louder and he has a very slight increase in mpg.

yeah 40 series original flows are the way to go, especially if you want to **** off the old folks that live on your street, check out flowmaster's web site and get the scoop on their lines, the 40 is my fav, and seems to be everyone's

Flows are the way to go, especially since they are the least expensive exhaust system that still has better quality than other exhaust companies.

Flowmaster

You cannot go wrong on 40 Series Flowmaster mufflers. As I have stated in other posts, there are several models within the 40 Series. The "Standard" is listed as their most aggressive. I have the standard on my 2000 5.4L Lariat. Good tonal quality. Deep sound, not obnoxious.
