The only possible issue I can think of is finding a place to fit it. I forgot something about the stock Y, someone on here took theirs off and found that for some reason it was choked down to about 1.5" for some odd reason. I must of had duels on my mind, but 3" single exhust will be ok but on duels you don't want to go bigger than 2.5".

Well, I think I'm just gonna do the DISO thing.

I can have them put the muffler as close to the original y pipe as possible. Yay!

well, I went the a muffler place and the guy said it would be about $150 to do the install. That's cutting the stock Y off and running 2 2.5" pipes to the muffler and extending teh stock tail pipe with 2.5" pipe. I think it works for me.

You go Krimson!
Get the DI/SO on that truck! Magnaflows are reversible, not true with all manufaturers though. You'll be amazed at how small that hole is on the factory Y pipe from the left exhaust pipe. Just getting rid of that thing in itself is a great help. Aw come on. Get the 3" tailpipe.
