I ended up getting knock off versions of the flowmaster 40's. Truck is not real loud compared to other trucks i hear on the road, but it has nice sound. At least now I can hear it run

He probably but on the deltaflow 50 SUV muffler. That won't sound anything like a 40 series. (unless you chop it at the backside of the muffler and put turndowns on it, and even then it'd still be weak) Tell the sunuvabiatch to put on what you agreed on and shove the 50's up his narrowminded opinionated azz/

I have an 02 Expy and bought the only cat back system i found for it which was the flowmaster 50 series delta. It wasnt as loud as i wanted it.. kinda disapointing, and I lost low end power. I had the muffler taken out and had a 4o series delta put in. Now I have the sound I wanted, and I got my low end power back.

I got Flowmasters put on after I took my stock exhaust off. I didn't notice a performance INCREASE though I did like the sound better. You won't notice a performance increase by putting ANY muffler on. You may like the sound better but seat of the pants performance increase you will not feel.

yeah the 2 muffler in place of one is why you lost the low end. Also the 50 series is quieter than the 40 series Flowmaster will tell you that on their website their most aggresive muffler is the 40 series.

like everyone else said, take it back and have one single in dual out 40 series muffler put on! It will be loud at wide open throttle and you will have a slight drone right at 2,000 RPMS. Its a great muffler. If you want really loud then you might want to check your other options.
