Need help deciding what to do...

I had a custom bent si/do magnaflow exhaust with 3.5" x 18" tips running straight out under the bumper put on my truck not too long ago. I had the same setup before that, only I used a flowmaster 40 and I'm tired of that look.

I want to change it over so it dumps before the rear axle. The exhaust shop welded my tips on crooked. So after I went back to have it corrected, they still turned out crooked. Anybody have a magnaflow muffler dumped before the axle? How's it sound?

I'll be dropping my truck's rear 2 inches with lowering shackles, and will be putting some 18" wheels and tires on it along with a billet grille this summer. I "think" it would look better with no exhaust tips. Just a clean look. What do you guys think? Opinion's are welcome.

Why not look at the SVT exhaust it dumps before the rear tire. My buddy has it on a 97 extended cab and sounds pretty good. Its made by Borla havent heard the Magnaflo or Flowmaster in that setup. I was thinking of getting the SVT for my truck but cant decide if I want the system to dump before the tires or leave mine alone as is side swept after tires. The SVT exhaust or Borla is approx $455 to $515 with out install but their easy to put on.

I like the L exhaust. But I like my new Magnaflow 18" si/do muffler I just paid about $90 for too. I don't want to hack it off just yet. Plus, I don't think I could route it like a lightning exhaust either because the muffler is too long. To much fab work. Problably would need a big 90* bend, a small 90*, and a 45* bend.

On another note, I went out in the garage this morning and straightened up my exhaust pipes. I found the muffler shop didn't torque down the hanger bolts to the frame tight enough. You could move them by hand. So I installed bigger bolts and nuts with lockwashers, and torqued them down with a long rachet. Now the pipes are pretty straight and solid.
