Question Which Exhaust?!

Hey guys, I was thinking my truck had a Flowmaster exhaust; but after hearing some other F-150's with Flowmaster 40 Series'. I'm starting to think Mine be something else. I did a little video+sound clip of it. If any of you "know" the sounds of the exhaust on these trucks. Please take a listen and tell me whatya think. Thanks

Also...... I was thinking it might be Gibson?...

If that mark on the bottom of the muffler is the big dent that it appears to be, then that might explain why is does not sound right!

The muffler is not positioned over the driveshaft..is it?

Your muffler certainly looks like a Flowmaster (or a clone). You should probably replace the muffler either way. Something to look out for in a replacement muffler is the spacing of the 'dual outs'. When I switched from Flowmaster to MAgnaflow, there was a difference in the spacing and creating the adapters to allow me to keep my exhaust tips was a PAIN.

Good luck.

It isn't a dent on the muffler; it's actually just where rust has built up thicker for some reason. It doesn't look as though the actual muffler has any dents or deformations in it though.

Also; I bought the truck used, so the exhaust system was already on it. The Guy at the dealer said that they were flowmaster, but he could easily be lying. So it doesn't really sound "Wrong" It's just doesn't sound like a flowmaster....

hmm, that's all I can really think of....

I believe all flowmaster mufflers have FLOWMASTER stamped on them the length of the muffler body. Only on one side though, i think.
