I got a borla cat-back exhaust a while back and I dont think it is loud enough. I am wondering if it would be possible to get the place to cut out the old borla and put in a louder muffler? What muffler should I put in? I want something that RAWWRRRRSSSSS!!! I dont want it to sound crappy but sound good and be a good muffler, I am thinking flowmaster.

 

Someone has to know a louder muffler that sounds good.

 

I would leave the Borla in there. If you need it louder exchange it for a stainless Magnaflow. The 14" will be loud and you won't lose performance.

 

if you want something louder than the borla i dont think the magnaflow will be loud enough for you, i would go with the flowmaster or imco both of these are louder and sound better IMO, good luck

 

Which series of flowmaster should I got with? I was thinking 40 series? I want something that people can hear when i punch it, the borla is just too quiet.

 

I put the flow master 40 on my truck and ran 4" tips behind both tires. Loud as hell. My house reverbs the sound if it is idleing in the garage. Darn near to loud. BUt she does sound sweet. I have 2005 with a 4.6.

 

If you really want "LOUD AS HELL" then get a flowmaster 1 chamber. It breaths and chits fire. The 40 series is loud, but not as loud as a 1 chamber.

 

I just posted on the Dynomax 16" x 2.5" glasspacks I just installed. They rumble pretty good! I had Flows & they sounded alright. The only thing is Flows sound good, but just like the next guy w/ Flows, you know? I live in a fairly small town & there is no mistaking my truck w/ the new Dynos! Good luck w/ whichever you decide on.
