In/Out? In/Out? In/Out? In/Out?

As mentioned in another post I am setting up an exhaust system similar to the Gibson Supertruck, only instead with Magnaflow products. So far I have the muffler an oval 5"x8"x24", the pipe to lead from the the muffler and out the side of the truck(like Gibson Supertruck it will exit in front of passenger side tire). I am now looking for a tip. I have found the one I want but need to know if "it is the tip that slides inside the exhaut pipe and then welded" or " tip slips over exhaust pipe and then welded". I hope you can understand what I am asking. Does then even matter at all?

You will want a tip that slides OVER the tailpipe and is then welded. This setup adds a more finished look.

Over the pipe also means a larger diameter tip.
