I don't buy brand names, I buy knock off ebay parts, they are just as good.
He says it all right there!! Some play on different fields even tho they are both playing baseball.

Everyone has a choice. That's why America is what it is!

Don't act like a child.

This is not meant to be a deameaning, degrading retaliation, but an education as to what the rest of us think.
I put that in there especially for the childish "personal attack" screamers. It's not a personal attack, its a personal opinion. You managed to say I was attacking, and that we all ride horses, but you failed to answer why it was substandard equipment we used for over 100 years. Well, answer or not, your answer is known. If you choose not to answer, you know you're wrong and have no returnable comment. If you answer, there is no way to show that 100 years worth of use was substandard. I admit when I am wrong, even on here when I don't want to. And I don't scream like a liberal John Kerry when I get called out either.

Grow up and make valid points to your discussion, instead of knocking stuff that you don't like

I have the Flow Master on mine and if yours sounds like mine, it just doesn't get any better than that!!! I have 5 in S.S. tips so that really deepens the sounds.

I have a friend that has Magna Flows on his and it has the glasspack popping sound that I can not stand!!!

Another friend installed Magna Flows on his 65 mustang and took off in 2 weeks because of the backfire popping sound he went back to Flow Masters sounds so much better.

Magna Flows sound like *** on cars.

Sound pretty good on trucks as long as you like the wide open throttle glass pack sound ( which I don't)

but each their own!

Taking it a little far there aren't you? You do realize stainless exhaust is not something that has only been out a couple of years. It's widespread use on new vehicles pretty much makes it the standard these days. To remove stainless pipe and replace with aluminized is taking a step backward.

Also, you might try respecting others opinions. If you do that, maybe they will respect yours.

Craig I am very happy with the sound out of my flowmaster 40 series. I just wanted to make sure I was not sacrificing a huge amount of HP by staying with them.

Calling non-stainless pipe substandard is the problem. ITs not substandard, it has been THE standard for 100 years. The stainless echaust system does nothing for you other than increase the cost of the vehicle if you're not in a crappy enviornment for metal. And since the NE and Montana, SD, CO and ND are about the only places its gets *****ty like that, then the rest of us don't need the extra incurred expense. WHy tell someone they need somthing they don't need just to put another dime in some companies pocket?

I'll refrain from going there, since you can't teach an OLD DAWG new tricks.

You are correct, Extended intervals is the new trick.

Back on topic however up here in New England stainless exhaust is a good choice. The salt on the roads in the winter destroys everything else pretty quickly.

It's only a problem because it hurts your feelings. Stainless steel exhaust is the standard now. Face it, things change. What was considered great 10 years ago is crap now.

And I'd bet at least half the country has to deal with either salt on the roads in the winter or salt spray from living on the coast.

I beg to differ. ITs not the standard now. The vast majority of cars still come with standard pipe, not stainless. More "cheap" cars are sold every year, and to be cheap they don't use things like stainless, and offer a 100K mile warranty to go along with that. So, thats 100K miles on your so called cheap substandard equipment with full warranty

I don't look at the "cheap" cars as the standard of automobiles today. I'm sorry that you do.

All F150s come with stainless exhaust now. To me, that makes it the standard these days.

Hey hwm3 do you have the 18" or the 24" muffler on your magnaflow cat back system? Does it make alot of the backfire/popping noises like craig41071 said his friends mustang did? I'm not trying to discredit craig, I just want to know if it does the same thing on hwm3's setup.

Thanks
