Catalytic Converters??? help

i want to put exhaust on my truck but ran into a few snags. i want it loud and and little more hp. i plan on running headers...any help to which kind?? also want to run no or hollowed out cats. is it worth it or should i get hi-flow cats?? is there a power/sound difference?? also an X-pipe with dual mufflers. either IMCO 1 chambers or flowmaster super 40 series. cant decide. magnaflow sounds to whimpy IMO. i want it LOUD! any comment/suggestions would help me out alot. thanks

Headers: Get longtubes, they make more power and are worth the extra cost.
Cats: Don't hollow out your cats, it'll sound like shat. Go with hi flows if you must.
Muffler: If you want loud, then go with no muffler at all or an IMCO. I have a Flowmaster 40 Series and it's loud but I want it REALLY REALLY LOUD and with all of that tubing after the muffler it really deadens the sound, but it still sounds sweet. If and when my Flowmaster rusts out, I'll probably replace it with an IMCO.

Flowmaster's suck as far as I'm concerned. I read once you actually loose power with them. I would choose a Borla, or Magnaflow. Go with high-flow cats, and If you have a 2x4 get the longtubes.

Kickin, unless if you have personally tried Flowmasters yourself and dyno'd them, STOP DISSING THEM! And if you'll notice, BigPlayer said that he wanted LOUUUUD, and a little HP. I have Flowmasters myself, and from my butt dyno I can tell you that they do make more power than the stock exhaust.

i have a flowmaster 40 series on my truck right now and had noticable power gains. i am able to light em up all the time now. i just want it louder. im willing to sacrifice 5 or so hp for a meaner sounding exhaust.

I have read dyno results on flowmasters. They are not the best power gaining mufflers. Personally I would much rather have something else but that is my opinion.

its my understanding magnaflow has the best power gain but i love the sound of flowmaster. magnaflow sounds to whimpy/quiet. i like it LOUD! i dont think 5 or 10 hp will be that noticable. i have a 4x4 not a lightning.
