The Check engine light come on and I had the parts guy run a code check on it and he said it was the EGR tube clogging up. I know this has had to be asked before but I cant find the search on here.

How do you go about cleaning this tube out?
One guy said to shoot brake cleaner down the tube and it should turn the crud to powder and it will go out the sys .

Any help would be nice and or direction to where this info can be found !

get some throttle body or carb or parts cleaner. take the EGR valve off and then just clean the valve ports and tube out with the cleaner and a old tooth brush
