Magnaflow vs flowmaster in sound

Ok it is down to these two . I take it from what I have read that they are both about the same top/low vs mileage....what I need to know is which one won't rattle my wife's teeth out when she is driving her truck. I am building a truck for her. '04 F150, 6" Fabtech lift, 35x12.5 Toyo M/Ts on 18" rims, 4:56 gears, Airaid airflow system. I live by the rule if the wife is happy...I'm not being b..ch at. So be honest in your replys. Because if the sound is loud I'll never hear the end of it.......

The Magnaflows will be quieter. Flowmasters are only better if you like their sound, Magnaflows will provide more power gain than Flowmasters.

I have had both Flowmaster and Magnaflow and can tell you that neither were teeth rattling loud. The Flow was on a 4.6 and got louder after it was broken in. The Magnaflow is on my current truck with a 5.4 and is not loud, but sounds much better than the Flowmaster did. I can't really hear the Magnaflow with the CD player or radio in the cab, but the Flowmaster had a drone that could really get on your nerves. As far as quality, the Magnaflow is hands down the better choice in my opinion. I put the Flowmaster on a truck that was around 4 years old and not a showpiece by any stretch of the imagination and it was a nice fit for that truck. With my new truck (2 years old) it is a much classier ride and the Magnaflow just seems to fit - a much richer less abrassive sound than the flow. Good luck in what ever you choose.

The flowmaster 40 series can drone pretty bad, but the 50 series are much quieter. I can really only hear mine when I'm accelerating. At idle and highway speeds, it basically disappears. Only loud when you want it to be loud

Summit racing has Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow Mufflers on sale for $49.50 and its Stainless steel!!!. Supposedly it is tuned for better performance and a quieter sound inside the vehicle...I ordered one

This is the Magnaflow SI/DO with s/s polished rolled tips i had put on a couple weeks ago. It sounds awesome and performance has improved along with it. Its just perfect on the highway and sounds great and loud if you get on it and with the 5 speed it a great sound not to loud but everyone knows its on there.
