I still cannot believe, despite ALL the overwhelming facts, endorsements and posts, that people continue to waste money on BlowMasters, then rave about the sound ( but not about the loss of torque ). Too embarrassed to admit, perhaps, because they didn't do the research, and effed up? S'okay - you are after all only human, and we all make mistakes!
Not everyone ranks performance at the top for exhaust modifications. Flowmaster has brand recognition with its distinct sound, and a lot of people like it. I don't have any problem recomending it to people that really like it how it sounds because Borla and Maganflow sound quite different. Note wolf17's comment above.

Hey Craig,

I've got the exact same rig that you've got..and have just started to add to it. I just added a kenwood..dvd..gps..in dash screen to it and next week will be adding the sliding glass. I like the tonneau cover that you've got...where did you get it.

I'm going to go with Magna flow..but not sure the benefit of single vs dual?

Thanks

ron

People that pick dual exhaust usually do it for looks. SIDO will sound similar to SISO. SIDO engineered systems typically have 10-20% lower performance benefits than SISO.

Thanks for all the inputs guys...

At this point I've had flows in almost all my vehicles and I think now with my screw I want to take advantage of the quiet sound inside, but have a better performance and not quite as loud a rumble and it seems that Magna is the best choice.

Thumbs up

I GOT THE FLOWMASTER 40 SERIES! Dual exhaust! It sounds excellent! Deep, mellow sounds even better when you want it to! Well worth it!

Exhaust Sound

When I put my Flowmaster SIDO muffler on my truck, sound is all I was concerned with. The specs that came with it said it would create an increase in horsepower due to better heat disipation. Well I have not noticed any loss in power and I think that the power loss or gain from an exhaust system is not going to be very noticeable. I went with Flowmaster because sound is what the brand is know for. I had no knowlege of Magnaflow and now that I do I am not going to change for a possible gain of a few xtra horses. I got what I wanted with the Flowmaster and have no complaints. On my next truck I will probably go with a Flowmaster again. Since Magnaflow is claiming more horses I would imagine that Flowmaster has upped its technology to compete. Just my opinion.
