exhaust idea

right now i have the 4.2L with a flowmaster 40 series. its a 1 in / 2 out. i am considering cutting it where it Y's and running seperate pipes for each side. I would have magnaflow mufflers flipped so they could be installed right next to eachother. I would also have the 4 cats cut out and replaced with 1 magnaflow high flow per side.

anyone know what it will sound like? Is it a good idea? thanks

if your going for sound its great, try to get the mufflers under the factory heat sheild. i would consider an X or H pipe so that you dont lose too much low end, i hope you have read enough on here to realize you will lose your low end tq so be prepared, this is mainly a sound exhaust unless your redlining all the time. show some pics if you decide to go with it

it depends on the shop really some have the equiptment and some down.. more then likely mom and pop shops will make one for you and the chain stores will make you buy one.
