What do you think about this setup?

2 Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, true dualed, all new pipe from behind the cats (duh) for $325 installed?

what kind of sound and performance do you think ill get out of this? i want a loud kina raspy sounding exhaust so does the 40 series sound about what im looking for? and im not doing straight pipes.

thx

or do you think i should go with the 50 or 30 series or possibly even a magnaflow? but id rather stick with flowmasters since im looking for a sound rather than dramatic power increase.

Performance wise, pretty much nothing you would notice probably. Sound wise, I think this is the best setup. I had 2 40 series on my first mustang gt with an o/r h pipe and it was by far the greatest sounding I think, it was LOUD. I put a magnaflow on my truck just because I was looking for performance over sound. The only real time you will see major performance gains with an exhaust is when you start adding other aftermarket performance items.

*- Also, I got my pipe and installation of my muffler for $100. You might be able to get the mufflers from ebay where they are like $50 or so and then take them to get them installed, will probably be cheaper that way

Not true for a couple systems, Borla and Magnaflow. Dyno tested to get torque from 2500+ with no other mods. It is difficult to chassis dyno an automatic tranny at low engine speeds due to the nature it the tranny downshifting at WOT

$325 is way overpriced for dual Flowmaster anything, and you'll probably lose some power from 1000rpm to 3000rpm. Any reason why you want true dual or Flowmasters?

I plan to run this same setup but use The Super 40 mufflers over the Flowmaster 40 series. They are louder, deeper tone and somehow they claim there is less interior noise.

Make sure you get some kind of crossover pipe (X-pipe or H-pipe) to join the two together.
