Single Or Dual Magnaflow?

Hey Guys,

Recently purchased a 2005 F150 Lariat Supercrew and am loving it! The first upgrade i'd like to do to the truck is a Magnaflow exhaust. On hottexhaust.com's website, they list a single exit exhaust and a dual exit exhaust:

Question is, will I lose any performance/sound if I go with the dual pipe exit vs. the single pipe exit? Also, will I run into any installation problems with the dual pipes? I installed a Magnaflow 15609 catback on my 2001 F150 Lariat in an hour or so. Is the installation of the cat-back of the '05 pretty straight forward like that of the 15609 on my '01 (cut off pipe and muffler, attach new muffler and hangers.) ??? Are there hanger spots available if I decide to go with the dual exit pipes?

Thanks in advance!
Mike

IMO..

If you want the absolute best performing Magnaflow setup, go with a SI/SO.

If you have to have dual tail pipes, go with the SI/DO.

Either one will be an excellent exhaust system for you rig!!!

I have the SI/SO and I love it! Sounds great and looks great. Sorry, I don't have a digital camera for pics

IMO the single looks a little better on the Lariats where I think the dual looks better on the FX4s. Just my $.02

Troyer Performance told me that the only difference between SISO and SIDO might be 1 or 2 HP, the more power coming from the SISO. I got a Magnaflow SIDO with two 22" SS Magnaflow tips and it looks great. I prefer SIDO since your spending the money might as well have a little flash to it but either way, Magnaflow is THE muffler to get and your in for a treat.
