I'm buying an 01 F-150 770 tommorrow, it has a si/do on but it is in need of some work. What will be best for low end torque? I was thinking about coming out of the cats into an X pipe then to dual mufflers(brand???) or a di/do muffler. In conjuntion with the exhaust I'm going to be getting an intake and tuning in some form. So I want as much power as possible, low cost, a nice mellow tone, just like everybody else, but i also don't want attention from the law... any ideas are appreciatied, thanks!

 

I have yet to hear of anyone getting more power than a signle 3" system from Borla or Magnaflow. Magnaflow sells a 3" mandrel bent tail pipe for about $50 if you don't want to buy the whole system.

Also, replace the OEM y-pipe with a better designed one.
