collector leak

I recently installed a set of shorty headers on my 5.4. I have had a leak at the passenger side collector since then and no matter how much i thightened it i couldnt get rid of it. This morning i took it all apart and put a bead of RTV on the collector fitting. How long should a wait before I crank it back up? The high temp rtv says 12 hours for full cure. PLease reply, I dont want to wait all day to crank it up if i dont have to. Thanks in advance.

12 hours.

Also, if that doesn't work, try using percy's aluminum dead soft gaskets. If that don't work, take the aluminum gasket and sandwhich it between 2 felpro paper gaskets.
