Question Headers or not

I have an 01 Supercrew with the 5.4. I have aleady got a cat back 50 series flowmaster muffler setup, fipk 2 kit, and a Hypertech programmer. The gains in power are very noticeable!! I was thinking about purchasing a pair of pacesetter shortie headers. Does anyone have any advice on whether it will be worth it or not. I have read some of the searches and it seems like I get mixed answers. What will be some of my benefits vs. headaches? Any help would greatly be appreciated!!

You will get minimal benefits from shorty headers. You have the exact same factory exhaust manifolds as a 380HP Lightning. Even those who add shorty headers to Lightnings report no gains whatsoever in quarter mile times. Your typical pitfalls will be cost, installation hassles, leaks, and re-torquing. To avoid these, buy quality headers and gaskets and use Stage 8 locking bolts. Headers have their place, but it's a ways down the list for HP per $$$ on these trucks.

im lookin at gettin some longtube mustang GT headers. they seem to route the exact same as the long tubes for the 5.4L trucks so im guessing they will work. does anyon know experimented or tried this before?
