Question Starights or Full Exhaust System??

I've got a 2000 Lightning and was wanting to change the factory exhaust to get more horespower and a better sound. I thought about going the cheep way and just put straights out the side on it, but didn't know how that would effect the engine and the sound. Or I could go the expensive way and get a cat-back system. Just wandering if anyone could help me out and give me there opion on what the best way to go is. Thanks.

I would have to go for a full system. Straight pipe would be loud and sound good but you would gain more performance from a full cat-back system. These engines need the back pressure to run properly and plus the straight pipes would more than likely hurt performance over stock. It may sound loud but that don't mean anything.
Go for a full system check out JLP's web, or bassani, they would prob have the best for performance.
wish it was my truck!!

Search a couple of exhaust terms in the Lightning area. You could read the archives there for hours about every Lightning exhaust system available.
