this is a highly debated subject. some say yes, some say no. some say yes but its hard to actually get because you wind up driving faster with your "new found" power.
in my own experiance i found my highway numbers went up, and my city numbers wen't down. i got the same numbers when i was moded as i did when i was stock. i had a exhaust, intake, chip, and underdrive pullies.
thats just my .02

average fuel consumption over a year for our trucks (according to EPA) is about $1500... so your gonna have to wait a LONG time to make that useful... since no matter what you do, your only going to save a mile or so per gallon.... willing to wait till your truck is no longer driving to be able to say "Hey, i saved 5 bucks because of that mod!"? lol do it cuz you want to... not because its going to save you gas... think of power and customization....
