I decided to buy a christmas gift for my beater 1990 F-150 to replace the crappy stock style exhaust. It was 2" in diameter and has two cats, besides being completely silent it was definatly robbing me some power. 4.9 liters into two cats, and 2" exhaust is a little undersized.

The first cat is a dual inlet, 3" outlet, the second cat is a 3: inlet and a 2" outlet, so i cut the exhaust off right in back of the first car and ran a 3" bullet muffler and 3" mandrel pipe out in front of the rear tire.

I had the pipe, clamps and hangers lying around, so I bought a summit muffler for $25.95 and a can of high temp aluminum and grabbed the sawz-all. Any questions can be email to mhaskell@juno.com if you want
