Post single straight

Has anybody ever taken the stock muffler off and ran a single straight pipe out in front of the right rear?I was thinking of doing this but i don't think i'll have enough back pressure

I have done it with 2 of my mustang's (85' and 89') without loss of torque/back pressure. Not sure about the f150 though.

I had Midas do it back in the day for 20$ each car, but with stricter laws/emissions you may want call first.
