exhaust stacks
hey everybody,
ive got a 5.0 L, 302 ci, f150. I wanna put semi stacks on it but im not sure how it would sound. I know its a small engine, but i like the look. So far, i have a flowmaster 40 series, single inlet, dual outlet. Im going to in the future get shorty headers. is it worth it, has anyone ever put stacks on a gasoline engine. hows it sound??
Thanks everybody.

sorry, but smoke stacks belong on real semis not pick up trucks.
everytime i see those i think of Jeff Foxsworthy and his redneck jokes.
you know your a red neck when, well you can finish the rest. just my opinion.

There is a guy back home who has them on a pre-94 jacked up dodge. It looks ok, but it is really loud. With the exhaust right behind your head, it literally has to rattle your brians out. Personally, I wouldn't touch a good setup like you currently have, but if you decide to go through with it, just keep this in mind.
I have personally put a set on a couple trucks. It all depends on how you do it is how it will sound. as far as looks again how it is pulled of is how good it will look. I have put them on a 91 dodge and a 92 chevy truck. I can try to get you pictures of the stacks on the chev as its my roommates and if when hes home I'll try to get a picture. otherwise email me and I can help you with it its kind of a pain in the *** to setup
They're common in rural areas ( I travel with work
). Consider any permanent damage from the mounting areas and remember that if any mild steel components which rain can enter are used, they will be temporary.

My International with a straight 6 motor had a single stack on the passender side. The truck use to have a diesel motor in it but that straight 6 gas motor sounds fine. Ive considered adding stacks on my ford but havent gone through with it.
