Question Relocation Question.

I recently got a 3" body lift installed on my 97 F-150. Now, the dual cat-back exhaust I had installed earlier is sagging in the back. I realized this would happen. So i got under the back and looked at the brackets holding the pipes up. They have 3 holes in them. The piece holding them up was positioned with the top on the bottom hole and the bottom not on a hole at all. I got my wrench out and moved the piece up a hole so now the top is on the middle hole and the bottom is on the bottom hole. This helped the sagging a little. I wanted to know if I could move it up to the top hole without getting in the way of everything else back there. I tried it, but when at the top hole, it is pushed up onto some metal piece attached to the frame. It's an odd-shaped metal piece with the back of the leaf-springs attached to it. (I'm not very knowledgable about car part names). It could stay there, but it would be directly in contact with that piece. Was wondering if anyone else had this and if that was ok for it to be like that or not. Thanx in advance for any help.
