If your vehicle has no any other modification that may affect and you ordered the right part # that system should be a bolt on easy to install.

My question would be, where was the OEM piping routed?

Post A New Problem?

I ordered and received a new in box Gibson Sweptside for my truck and took it to a local dealer to install. He stated my 1999 F 150 had some type of sub contractor towing package on it although it came with the truck new. Anyway, the exhaust system would not fit without major modifications. Has anyone ever heard of this?

My understanding, especaily with the Swept Side, was that is replaced the stock stuff and even used the existing hangers. I agree, maybe a wrong part number or, the guy didn't want to mess with it. I know a local shop here quoted me only $75 labor to install but wanted $150 more for the Swept Side that I'm getting it for on-line. Hmm, where are HIS margins coming from?
