Too loud?!
I've heard alot about exhaust being to loud on cars and trucks(not possible on a newer F150). But I've NEVER heard a car/truck as loud as a Harley. So what gives? My father in law has one with really loud drag pipes. Drives it everyday and has never had a problem. His best friend owns a Harley shop and puts aftermarket pipes on all the time- and has never had a customer get in trouble. So why can they get away with it?! Both of these guys have even been in trouble with the law on various occassions riding their bikes and still no problem. Any ideas?
I think a lot of them are Veterans of some sort or another, not all, but more than half. I know most look like they are, and them biker chicks, I would never wnat to give a thing like that mad, can you imagine? I think its the last of the good 'ol boy system.
With all due respect, Harleys just sound better loud than what some people do to their automobiles. Who can honestly say that that they've heard a Harley that's too loud. Nobody, because everytime somebody hears that rumble they stop to take a look around to see. But in alot of cars/trucks the rumble can be just obnoxious unless properly exhausted/muffled. A Harley's sound is much more rich because of the way the exhaust is ported. I am running glasspacks for a loud/controlled sound but where people get into trouble is where the have uncontrolled exhaust sound coming out. Please don't flame me for this.

Well IMHO opinion nothing on the road sounds as good LOUD as a well tuned V8,ready for warfare. Musclecars baby, yea! Harleys sound good 'sometimes' but they do get to damn loud 'sometimes' too. Give me a 500cube Big Block ANYDAY!!..like mine for instance
...and YES its a CHEVY!!! hehe
