Post Ive Been Flowmastered

Well Finally got my exhaust put on after much debate on what to put on. I got a Flowmaster 50 series Dual out the back with 3.5" chrome tips. Wow the sound is awesome not to loud not to quite. I want to thank you all for helping in this decision. This site just rocks

Well I got it done at a local muffler shop here in San Antonio called Exhaust centers. The entire package was 350 installed. And this was believe it or not the cheapist I could find.

I wish I could listen to your truck. I'm still debating what I want - dynomax, gibson, or flowmaster 50 series.

I've got the same flowmaster set up. Got it at a Meineke Muffler $325. Sounds good to me but my wife thought it was too loud in the cab. Just had the truck undercoated and that took the edge off of the sound enough for her to ride with me again.

Question

Fred-
What exactly did it cost you for that package, and where did you have it done at? (muffler shop, custom truck shop, etc...) I'm thinking of getting the same thing done. Thanks!

2000Sport I have pretty much have the same truck as you do (1998 Red STX) and was debating on what kind of aftermarket muffler to get. I have a 4.2l V6 and was worried about how it sounded. I saw that you live in San Antonio and I wanted to know if you had some time if we could meet so I can check out what your truck sounds like. Let me Know What You Think (I Live By Marshall High School)
