Lightbulb Back pressure?

Ok here goes a stupid question... On Back Pressure can you have too little or too much? What are the effects of each one if there are any?

Thanks

Yes to both. Too much back pressure and the motor won't run right in the higher rpm range, too little back pressure and you loose torque in the lower rpm range. You didn't say what motor you have. Stock system on your truck is 2 1/2" and is probably all you need for the 4.2 or the 4.6. On the 5.4 you can go to a 3" cat back single or a 2 1/4" dual and probably improve top end with out hurting the low end.

I do a lot of towing and have made the mistake on another truck or opening it up to much. There was a very noticable loss of power. Your choices depend on what you use your truck for and your driving habits. If you do a lot of WOT at high speeds, like passing 18 wheelers on I-45, open it up.

There have been many discussions on this board about this undert exhaust and exhaust systems. You can go back and read postings and get a lot of different info.
