Question Loud ping from exhaust

The weather her in GA is starting to get a little colder. I've noticed that when I'm at a stop I can hear a loud ping coming from what seems to be the rightside exhaust. It happens ounce every couple of minutes. I don't notice it during driving but maybe I just don't hear it. It is probably the heat shields flexing on the converters, has anyone else had a problem with this? I think maybe a weld is not good. I looked at them but couldn't tell much. If it is the weld, other than annoying, will it hurt anything?
