veloci.... The December issue of Motor Trend's "Truck Trend" magazine says Ford work with "Tenneco" to design a muffler just for this truck. About the only details they gave was that it was a single in, dual out system exiting behind the rear wheels. Looks pretty good in the article. If you look up www.tenneco-automotive.com and look around you'll find they own "Walker" mufflers who make the Dynomax line of mufflers.

I see that you have a Series 50 Flowmaster on your truck. I was wondering is that is part of a system or you just bought the muffler and installed it with the stock piping, pressed or mandrel bents, dual or single exit?

I installed the 50 series with single 3"piping from y-pipe all the way to behind the rear tire. It was a mandrel custom job done by a local guy, Only $185.00 including labor and parts. A word of caution, there is a drone inside the cab, between 1600 and 1900 rpm's, which is around 65 mph, so i either go 60 or 70 mph. Hopes this helps.

I am assuming that's not a delta flow muffler, isn't it? Just trying to get all the information I can before I go with a specific brand. Thank you.

jmtruck,
No i messed up and got the regular muffler. I am trying to convince the muffler guy to replace mine for a delta. I talked to flowmaster and they told me that the drone inside the cab is almost non existing with the delta. I will let you know if i get it but i highly recomend the flowmasters,

Veloci, Thanks for responding to my question earlier, but I was wondering. When you changed to the 3" pipe instead of the stock 2.5" pipe, did you feel any loss in bottom end? I will go with the Delat 50 single in and out, just trying to decide if I should keep the stock pipe or switch to a 3".

MDCURTIS,
I lost very little. If you do not tow very often, then go with the 3".Hopes this helps.
