Plain old Glasspacks
"BassCat"- I don't have your info at work. But, you can mail me at nomo@webzone.net I usually check mail (via web) at least once a day from work. I have to repair a server tonight, so I doubt I'll be online.
Pony- The "deal" has been agreed to by both parties, but the U.S. Government and the European Council must approve it. There are a lot of "project managers" (not enough project workers
). Which department? I work in I.S.

hey Nomo, are you going to be down in the Data Centers? Do they still have the labels on them that tells their name (usually cartoon and greek myth names) and some other info about them? If they do then I did that! And I hope you are not one of those guys that I had to get that info from b/c one of them was really rude to me!

Yes, I work with equipment in the datacenters and our server names are elements from the periodic table (chemistry). Most groups use cartoon characters though.
Was that the project where we had to put the name, disk & memory sizes, IP address, etc. on little labels that fit inside a clear plastic pocket? The guy that was the rep from our group got caught in a R.I.F. (aka lay-off).

They were supposed to be printed out on sticker labels but I thought the pockets would be better if the info needs to be changed. Did you happen to be one of the guys I had to track down to get the info from?? Everyone was nice to me except for that one guy w/ pics of cars in his cubicle, he has (or had) a system called Daria.
You probably didn't like the project either.

Good idea on the pockets. Stickers suck.
I didn't get involved with that effort. The person who hassled you (admin for daria) is also a butt-head. Unfortunately, he's still here. He now works for my boss (his old boss got caught in the lay-off too) and is still giving everyone a hard time. But that's OK, because I get to hassle him a lot and he hates it. Usually, I give him flack about not doing stuff that "our" boss is having me coordinate. Since he (the butt-head) thinks of himself as a manager, it gets his goat to be told what to do- especially by another tech.

We went on Saturday afternoon and they were closed. But the gate was open so we pulled in and I got a good pic of the Ramsey sign in the front. Hopefully the plate will be in soon, all I can do is wait.
