Can true duals hurt my 4.6L??
Can true duals hurt my 4.6L??
Hey everyone I heard from one exhaust shop that if I put on true duals it will hurt my engine and overheat it and lots of bad things and this didnt seem right to me. I have the 4.6 and I plan to add a intake and possibly a power programmer do you agree with the guy or will duals be fine? If it is ok to have the exhaust what setup would you recomend for my engine?
Thanks for all

That's BS, just like you thought. You will get better low to mid range performance out of a single exhaust, but duals work fine. I would buy a pre-engineered, stainless-steel setup with a straight-through design muffler. The muffler of choice would be based on what sound you are looking for.
I run a true dual on my 99 F-150, with Flowmaster 40 series as well... No complaints here. I don't think you'll notice any major changes in performance, but the sound is just right.
