Question help

what do you guys think about flowmaster super 40 vs the delta flow 40? I have an 02 F150 single cab flareside, 4.6L. Also which size I/O do I need? I am running dual pipes out the back. I know I need/prefer the offset inlet but which sizes?
thanks

Welcome ! The original 40 will give you more sound. If you're talking about using your original system forward of the muffler, you need a 2.5" SI muffler. Since you're running dual outs, you will get to pick your size; 2.25" is typical. Call your installer and see if he agrees before you buy your muffler.

I have decided to go with the super 40 single in dual out. I've called around about it and they say it has a deeper, throatier tone. They say it's not much quieter than the original 40, but it is alot deeper. I am going to get it all done for $185 from a mechanic that is a friend of the family, which I think is a really good price. Other places have quoted me about $250.

I would love to have a lightning, my f150 is close to the same color as your lightning. I have put a billet grill on mine and switched out all the speakers for 3way and 4way pioneers and also a pioneer cd player. It sounds great without having any subwoofers or anything like that in it. I would like to change out the headlights and taillights also when I get the money.

Thanks for your advice and information, i'll let you know how it sounds when I get it done.

You're Welcome ! That sounds like a nice truck. Your exhaust plan and price sound good. That should give your truck a new personality. Good Luck with your installation.
