I have the borla exhaust on my 01 Supercrew. The sound wasn't quite as loud as I had hoped for under normal driving conditions and the performance increase that I felt was minimal. Yours might be different since you have a Lightning. I think the cost difference with the Borla exhaust as opposed to cheaper ones (money wise) is mainly because it is stainless steel and not aluminum. You probably could have gotten the same performance with other exhausts for less money, but you wouldn't have gotten those cool looking tips. Of course, all of this is just my opinion, and I do have a different truck than you. I hope you are more than pleased with yours.

thanks for the reply screw01. yeah, i knew borla wouldnt be the loudest, but i like the way it looks, its suppose to have good performance , but the kicker for me was the material its made out of. they say on their website that the T-304 stainless steel is aircraft quality. but i can tell you from personal experiences that that type of stainless steel is used for applications alot more complex, dangerous, and vital than aircraft. so i thought it was the one to go with

magnaflow is made of the same material. I just put on dual out the back on my 01 screw. Cost me 380 shipped to my door. Exhaust looks and sounds unreal.

Send it back and order the borla from the performance peddler, it will prolly cost you 400 or so.
