Flowmaster 40-Series - How To Tell?

Does anyone know how to tell what series a Flowmaster muffler is? I am under the impression that I have the 40 series, but I would like to know for sure. All I see on the muffler is their logo and some patent numbers. And so you know I didn't buy it myself, I just had a custom exhaust shop put it on for me so I never saw a box or anything. Thanks in advance.

Well thanks to some help I got on FTW, I have determined that I do have a 40-series. Now, how can I tell if I have a Delta Flow or the Original? I know someone out there has a Delta Flow, help me out please.

Look at the under side of the muffler...you'll see several 'V' shapes there caused by the heat..3V's no 5 V's yes

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I am not sure what the "V"s are that you are talking about. I looked at the underside of mine (which is the side that does not say Flowmaster on it) and all I saw was some little foot-print shaped spots that looked like burn spots, and there was quite a few of them.
