a little louder!

Got the gibson 3" sideswept exhaust and put it on. Thought it would be louder than it is. I don't want it this quiet. Has anyone got a single 3" system that could recomment a replacement muffler for the gibson that would be louder. I don't mind a little interior noise, but still want to here my radio and carry on a conversation. I've been looking at the dynomax ultraflow and the flowmaster 40 and 50 series? Opinions?

My aeroturbine sounds great around town and under the pedal
Highway speeds the tire noise takes over
All stainless so you can take it with you

The 40 series flowmaster will be pretty loud and sounds good but be prepared for cab drone at 16-1700 rpm or about 60-65mph. The 50 will be a little quieter with much less cab drone.
The delta series 50 sounds real good outside and when getting on it but there is no cab drone inside the truck.

I had the 40 on mine and couldnt stand the drone at speed. I replaced it with the delta 50 and it sounds good outside and can carry a conversation inside with no problem.

cut that piece of chit Gibson muffler out and weld in a piece of straight pipe.

I dont understand these $400+ dollar exhaust systems. Cut your muffler out and add dual tailpipes. If you want louder, get hi flo cats. If you want quieter, weld in a muffler of your choice. Just my .02

I'm in the same boat! Wish it was a bit louder too.

Keep us posted on what you find cause I'm going to replace the muffler shortly.

Thumbs up I agree with Green 110%

Call me cheap but I LOVE the sound I got for $37.00 and I never need to worry about a muffler again!
