Here's what I think I want. Convince me otherwise.

I have an '04 Supercab, 5.4, Auto. I want a really nice exhaust sound, but not obnoxious. Especially at highway and cruising speeds.

As far as I can tell, I want the Flowmaster 50 series, SI/DO, 2 1/2" pipes out the back with 3" stainless tips.

Is there a comparable Magnaflow set up that I should consider?

Also what about the 70 Series Flowmaster. Is it even more conservative as far as sound than the 50?

Thanks!

Magnaflow and Flowmaster have distinctly different tones. If you like the Flowmaster and sound is all you car about, then stick with it. Magnaflow has one main design in many sizes to change the sound level, but the tone stays about the same. Something like a 5x8 oval x18" long seems to please most people looking for a little more sound volume than stock, yet no drone.

Yes, I fear the drone. That's why I think I am a candidate for the 50 series. Am I correct?

I don't know too much about Flowmaster. Yes, 70 would be quieter than 50 series, but I don't have a feel for what is generally acceptable for in-cab drone or lack theroeof. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Every muffler/system will get a little louder after 500-1000 miles.
