i am putting on a flowmaster super 40 on my 4.2 this weekend. I have not decided whether or not to dump my exhuast right before the rear axle or run the pipe out in front of passenger tire? so basically i need to know what would sound better and mainly deeper? turndown or a big tip out the side infront of tire? does anyone know what would sound deeper on my truck?

 

dumps would sound meaner, but it would also be louder in the cab
