Cool

HI!... It all depends on what you want. I used to have FLOWMASTERS on my truck in a true dual set-up. They were loud at idle and loud at cruising speeds. They droned a TON but didn't seem too loud at WOT.

After having SO many problems with the FLOWS, cracking, rusting, baffles breaking and rattling, I switched over to S/S MAGNAFLOW true dual set-up. Now the MAGNAFLOWS don't drone at all, have a smooth quiet rumble at idle but you know you have a after market exhaust under there. They have a great muscle car sound while cruising BUT you go WOT and they get LOUD, but a nice clean loud.

Hey Neal, cant wait to see some pics of the truck taking out a camaro. Qeustion for you, I want to put a true dual exhaust under my 04 Scab. I know you are a fan of the magna flows and I am pretty convinced that I will go woth those. How much modification and work was it to go to a true dual set up. I am not looking to race like you just sound nice and maybe pick up some
MPG. I looked to see if you had any pics of the exhaust on the truck but did not see any. Thanks for the help.

spintech

don't know if it 'l fit an 04 but spintech makes a x-pipe that bolts up the the down pipes of our trucks- then you can finish it off with mufflers and tailpipes from spintech or magnaflows and pipes bent at your local shop-email me @openclasspro@cs.com- and i'll email the setup spintech set me-phil

Flowmasters are louder than the Magnaflows.

The size of the canister determnes the relative loudness. Put a large Flowmaster against a small Magnaflow, and the Mag will be louder. Use a larger Magnaflow muffler than Flowmaster, and the Flowmaster will be louder.

Very true. I guess the real question should be, which one sounds cleaner and less like a rice burner.
